The harbormaster's building and nearby fuel dock and convenience store are mainstays of marina life. The administrative offices are in this building which also includes clean, inviting tile rest rooms and showers, plus a laundromat. The convenience store stocks snacks, commonly used items and boating supplies.

For convenience, there is night lighting, an emergency generator should power in the area fail, a water well and
sewerage plant. For small boats, there is a concrete boat launch and dry storage space on the grounds.
Nunmaker Yachts, a well-known regional yacht dealer, has a sales office across the street from the marina and a repair facility is being established on premises. A trailer for hauling larger boats will be available soon. Three boatyards are located within one-half mile of the marina. All provide lift facilities, bottom cleaning, painting and other services.
Computerized operations
From bookkeeping to statistical data on boats, Marina del Ray is completely computerized. Boats are classified by type, boat number or slip number, place of origin, and various other classifications. The marina also keeps a current tenant listing, plus a roster of all cruisers who have stayed overnight at Marina del Ray. Boat brokerages, many other listings, and many other standard programs are computerized also.
