An imaginatively renovated barge along the riverfront which serves as a breakwater for the marina is clearly where the action is at Marina del Ray. Now a social center for events of all types, the "Fun Barge" as it's called has a swimming pool plus a gaily decked, covered pavilion area (with its own bar facilities and rest rooms). It's a natural for group entertaining and parties. On the Fun Barge, you can swim, sunbathe, and happily while away the hours as you listen to a jazz concert or try the Cajun two-step, depending on the schedule. You can even have a smashing private party of your own.
