From New Orleans:
Take the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway to N. Causeway Approach in Mandeville to Hwy. 22 west
approximately three miles to Hwy. 22 and the Tchefuncte River. Marina del Ray will be on
your left.
From Lake Pontchartrain:
Proceed to the Tchefuncte River outlet on the northern shore of Lake Pontchartrain. If
entering Lake Pontchartrain from the Gulf of Mexico, head for the South fixed bridge of
the Causeway, where clearance is 50 ft. Or North end of Causeway has twin bascule spans
with clearance of 42' when closed. Bridge tender monitors channel 16. Clearance may vary
2' up or down depending on wind and tides. Then head NNW to the Tchefuncte River mouth.
Line up with the outer marker and stay in the channel as there are shoals on the north
shore outside the channel. Continue up river 1 1/4 miles to Marina del Ray on starboard
hand. From the Mississippi River, take Industrial Canal to Lake Pontchartrain, then head
for the center drawbridge of Causeway as above.
From Baton Rouge:
I-10 to I-12 junction. I-12 east to Covington-Mandeville exit (LA Hwy. 21), or I-12 west
from Slidell, or come South on I-55 to I-12 at Hammond, then East to Covington-Mandeville
per above. Take LA 21 toward Madisonville, then turn left on to Hwy. 22. Keep on Hwy. 22
until you cross the Madisonville drawbridge. Marina del Ray is on your right immediately
after crossing the drawbridge.
